These Deep GreenTM welfare cabins were already operating for most of the year with no generator runtime, so the concept was pushed further. In developing the GenFreeTM units, their solar capacity has been enhanced with extendable solar panel trays and vertical wall panels.
Meaning that even in the depths of winter, all electrics in GenFreeTM welfare cabins run entirely from solar energy with no need for a back-up generator in the cabin at all.
In addition, GenFreeTM incorporates all the usual sustainable and cost-saving features of the Deep GreenTM cabins such as rain harvesting and water recycling and a full stainless steel recyclable build. Plus the same online SOLARTrackTM system that allows users to plan servicing and report on carbon savings remotely.
