GenFree™ is the world’s first towable welfare range with NO on-board back-up generator, meaning no generator noise, fuel costs, emissions, servicing or repairs.
Our smallest 12ft self-contained solar-powered unit provides a compact and convenient eco-welfare solution, combining a fully-equipped Canteen for up to 7 users with twin female and male fresh water toilets.
MEASUREMENT
With high capacity robust anti-vandal solar roof panels, vertical wall panels and an extendable solar tray, this unit generates enough solar energy to power all electrical operations, 24/7, 365 days a year, with no need for a back-up generator. Energy harvested is either used directly or stored in two large lithium ion batteries.
With no generator on-board, you’ll enjoy 100% silent operation as well as zero generator fuel costs. In addition, ALL generator-related servicing and repair costs are eliminated. This is significant as statistically, generator faults are the biggest cause of welfare breakdown callouts and downtime. Having no generator also makes operating the unit a piece of cake for any user – use all appliances just as you would in your own home.
A unique patented Waste Management Pro™ system harvests rain water from the roof and recycles it, reducing the need for water refills and also reducing the amount of waste produced. Less waste means fewer waste pump out visits are required, with service intervals extending from every week to once every 3 weeks on average.
We can arrange access to an online portal from any desktop or mobile device, giving remote access to cabin location and tank levels for fuel, fresh water and waste so servicing can be planned precisely avoiding wasted visits or downtime on cabins, saving money as well as reducing the environmental impact from service vehicles.
All data on the Deep Green™ units’ energy production, energy consumption and generator runtime is monitored and recorded 24/7 so at any point you can know exactly how much carbon / fuel / emissions these units are saving. Perfect for environmental / carbon reporting, giving accountability for sustainability targets.
All GenFree™ cabins are built from stainless steel which is 25% stronger than mild. GenFreeTM cabins come with a 25 year anti-corrosion guarantee – giving a x3.6 longer life than mild steel cabins which only have an average useful life of 7-8 years. Cabins are over 97% recyclable at end of life.
As well as being the most eco-friendly welfare cabins in the market today, GenFree™ units offer a fully functional and high-end welfare experience, with luxury extras such as hygienic no-touch low-power hand dryers, catering-grade stainless steel worktops, plenty of USBs and plug sockets plus tasteful chrome fittings throughout.
As the cabin electrics are powered entirely by solar energy, the only emissions produced are from the ultra-low consumption heater which uses just 0.25 litres of fuel per hour. During warmer months, when the heater is not in use, GenFreeTM units are 100% zero emissions. During the winter, emissions from the heater are minimal, meaning a clean, healthy worksite environment and enabling cabins to be used in ULEZ areas and on other emission-sensitive sites such as city centres. In winter, net CO2 emissions can be lowered by a further 90% by using HVO biofuel in the heater.
