Three of our 12ft solar powered welfare units were utilized at the Ploughing Championships this week. We provided three fully solar-powered units on the approach roads to Ratheniska. These units were used by the Garda Síochána to provide a warm and comfortable place to sit during their breaks, while the drying rooms were also in high demand due to the continuous downpours.
Today, our team delivered a state-of-the-art 12-foot fully solar powered welfare unit to one of Premier Engineering’s construction sites in Thurles. What makes this unit even more remarkable is that it operates in complete silence, as it is free from an onboard generator, making it the perfect choice for projects located in close proximity to neighboring areas. We are also thrilled to be contributing to Premier Engineering’s efforts to reduce their CO2 emissions.
JMJ EcoHire are delighted to land our first Fully Solar Powered Welfare Cabin on site today. Irish Rail is the pioneering organization to adopt the concept of a solar-powered welfare unit. We have successfully delivered a 20 ft unit to Kent Station in Cork city. This unit features a canteen accommodating up to 13 people, a single-person office, a freshwater toilet, and a drying room. Both the canteen and toilet offer access to running hot water.
JMJ EcoHire purchased a V8 Scania to assist us in transporting our solar-powered welfare cabins from the UK over the next few years, fully fueled with diesel and ready for the road.
We were delighted to provide cabins for two major events: Firstly, the “Cut Loose” Country and Western Festival, held annually in Holycross, and then the “Hoolie In the Hill” Festival in Upperchurch. Both festivals rented 12 ft and 20 ft cabins for their bar and security staff. These units were perfect for staff breaks, offering amenities such as running hot water, excellent toilet facilities, and a comfortable place to relax. JMJ EcoHires solar powered welfare units met all the necessary health and safety criteria.
In the first two weeks of JMJ EcoHires training program, our primary focus was to acquaint ourselves with the cabins and the rental business. In this context, James and Jason guided us through a tour of their manufacturing facility, providing us with a hands-on experience of how these cabins are assembled.
